Growing up in a rural region of the United Kingdom I developed an intimate connection with the natural world from an early age. I now work as a biologist in Switzerland, but out of work I try to capture a small part of the diversity of nature with my camera. The natural world inspires and intrigues me, and frequently leaves me in awe. I hope that people can see some of this in my images. The natural world and the biodiversity within it must be considered one of our most important global resources. The more people who can be connected with and educated about nature, the more likely it is that we can preserve this valuable asset.
